Camp Hope (Fundación campamento Cristiano Esperanza) is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Ecuadorian government as a charitable Christian Foundation in 1990. Its main goal is to meet the needs of economically, physically and mentally challenged children, teens, and young adults to enable them to attain the goals of independence and social integration. Camp Hope  provides: Education, Medical Services, Spiritual Discipleship, Rehabilitation, Vocational Training.and a home for orphans and abandoned people with disabilities.

Camp Hope's orphanage (called Casa Hogar) is recognized by the Ecuadorian government as a one of the best programs for people with disabilities in Ecuador. As a legally recognized Foundation, Camp Hope is able to work with international organizations and receive donations from outside the country without having to pay any duty tax. This legal status also allows Camp Hope to receive volunteers who help develop Camp Hope's programs and participate in projects funded by the Ecuadorian government.

Camp Hope has been hosting volunteers from all over the world for the past 27 years, and the success of these many interactions has motivated the organization to form its own comprehensive volunteer program called Camp Hope Volunteers Ecuador. This program gives volunteers the chance to serve one of the most vulnerable groups in Ecuador, since there are very few resources for disabled people in the country. We have found that volunteers enjoy working with the children of Camp Hope, and fall in love with Camp Hope's work.
